❓ Do you use argan oil on your hair but still aren’t sure whether to apply it before blow-drying or after styling?

Argan oil is considered one of the highest-quality natural oils for hair care, but its effectiveness depends on its purity, extraction method, and proper application. Before blow-drying, it can reduce moisture loss and friction, helping to protect the hair fiber from drying out. For this step, one to two drops applied to the lengths and ends are enough. The hair will remain smoother, more flexible, and better prepared for styling without feeling heavy or greasy. After styling, argan oil can work as a serum to tame flyaways and add natural shine. At this stage, it is important to use an even smaller amount—half to one drop rubbed between the palms and gently smoothed over the surface of the hair, avoiding the roots.
The quality of argan oil significantly affects the results. It is always worth choosing 100% cold-pressed oil, as it retains the highest content of vitamin E, antioxidants, and fatty acids. Mass-produced oils are often diluted, fragranced, or heat-processed, which reduces their effectiveness and may cause a greasy or heavy feeling in the hair. The most reliable options are oils from small family farms and smaller producers who focus on traditional processing methods and high-quality raw materials. Such oil has a natural color, a mild nutty scent, and absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy film.
Using argan oil both before and after styling is completely safe, as long as you adjust the amount to your hair type. Fine hair needs only a minimal amount, while thick or curly hair can handle slightly more. The right quantity and a high-quality, undiluted oil make the difference between shiny, polished hair and hair that feels greasy or weighed down. With regular use, argan oil can improve hair elasticity, reduce breakage, and enhance natural shine without causing buildup.
What about you—do you prefer applying argan oil before blow-drying, after styling, or are you still looking for the method that works best for your hair?
